What/Who are all these "USERS" under HKEY_USERS?

I am not having any trouble. This is just a request to help me understand a
little bit more about XP. In looking at registry entries to become familiar
I noticed that under HKEY_USERS I have the following list of entries:

DEFAULT
S-1-5-18
S-1-5-19
S-1-5-19-Classes
S-1-5-20
S-1-5-20-Classes
S-1-5-21-1275210071-436374069-682003330-1003
S-1-5-21-1275210071-436374069-682003330-1003-Classes

The identical list appears in both my new WindowsXP home laptop and my old
WindowsXP Pro laptop. No one else uses these computers but me, there are no
other users. There is no administrator. Checking on my old Windows 98
machine only Default appeared under HKEY_USERS and I am just curious. Is
there a simple explanation what these additional entries are for. I assume
they are Okay and would normally be there.

TIA

System entries.. Network, SYSTEM and so on - background users without local
logon rights.

18 is SYSTEM
19 is LOCALSERVICES
20 is NETWORKSERVICES
21's are your users.
