what things can lock your history

hi
sometimes when i delete my history, close ie and open it
again the history will be still there. i was wonder if
there is a way to stop this from ever happening again

Hi,
With no IE windows open, try clearing the History from Control Panel>
Internet Options> General> Clear History.

Or, you may have a damaged History folder. Delete the History folder- a new
one will be created on restart.
