I can type a letter, however, if I press a key combination such as
CTRL+ALT+DEL, it doesn't work. I just found out my computer was running all
night, with the monitor turned off.

These stupid Compaq computers are driving me crazy.

Can you make ALT+[number] combinations create an ASCII character? Try
ALT+156.

These stupid Compaq computers are driving me crazy.

I avoided Compaq because of their quirky proprietary software. I
will avoid Dell next time because their customer service is in
Pakistan.

Step one: Don't rant when asking for help.

Step two: Try the key combination on the other keys (i.e, the other ctrl and
alt keys).

Step three: Try another keyboard.
