What size is this memory

I was sold this simm as printer memory. It was supposed to be 16MB,
but is only showing up as 1MB. I have no other way to test it. Here
are the markings on the 8 chips:

KM44C4100BK-6

Each chip shows up as 4Mx4 bits = 2MBytes. 8 chips gives you 16MB.
