That's because few vendors can leverage "brand name" to the point they
can slap a circuit board on an obsolete notebook hard drive and sell
it for several times the cost... rather look out for cheap generic MP3
players, being careful to avoid anything that forces you to use
"special" software to transfer files to and from device (e.g. Sony)
