Do not buy an Ipod. Just buy the Apple stock (ticker symbol AAPL)
instead. You will have an appreciating asset then. There will always be
Ipods or MP3 gadgets. Finding a good stock that goes up in price is not
so common. The irony is that the Ipod is a white elephant of sorts but
Apple stock is not so shabby.
That's because few vendors can leverage "brand name" to the point they
can slap a circuit board on an obsolete notebook hard drive and sell
it for several times the cost... rather look out for cheap generic MP3
players, being careful to avoid anything that forces you to use
"special" software to transfer files to and from device (e.g. Sony)
