I'm completly addicted to Counter-Strike, just like anyone who has
played it. Two months ago i baught CS:Source. And was dismayed to
find that upon running the game's built-in Video Stress Test. I can
only average around 42 FPS running at my LCD's native resolution of
1280x1024. I changed the resolution all the way up to 640x480 and only
achieved 58 FPS with all the graphics turned to their minimum. A
moderate gain, but still not the consistent 80-90 FPS I'm looking for.
I just built this computer about 6 months ago and want to know where
the bottleneck in my system is, so I can upgrade. This is what I got.
Intel Celeron 2.4 GHZ Processor
1 GIG Ram
120 MB hard drive
Radeon all-in-wonder 9600 XT video card
ASUS P4P800SE Motherboard
19" Samsung LCD monitor, 8ms refresh
Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated!
