What programs don't work in Vista

David Sherman

I am planning to install Vista CTP build from 2/06 which I got from
Microsoft. It will be an upgrade installation.

Is there a list of software that doesn't run in Vista?

I am talking about Windows programs that currntly run in XP

thanks

This is trial and error experience right now, you can't get a guarantee
because the product is still in development. So something that might have
worked in build 5270, might now work in 5308, and something that might not
have worked in 5308, might work in 5342. Stronger confirmation is a likely
event when BETA 2 arrives.

There's a few - anti-virus' mainly (but the ones that do work can be seen
here: http://www.vistabase.co.uk/welcome.php?subcats/applications/antivirus)
but normally if they don't work, stick them in compatibility mode with XP
SP2 and normally they work OK.

If they don't work, contact the author or manufacturer )

Thanks for the information and link.

I knew in my heart that Norton wouldn't work so now I will have to
un-install it.
