You have a picture of text and you want to import it into excel?

If yes, you need an OCR program (Optical Character Recognition). A lot of
scanners come with software, or you can purchase it separately.

There may even be free/shareware versions that you can download.

http://www.shareware.com might be your next stop.

jpg and gif files are graphics files.

csv files are text files(comma separated values)

Never the twain shall meet. You cannot convert a text file to a graphics file
or vice versa.

Excel can open csv files, but not the others.

After reading Dave's response.......

What do you want to do?

Perhaps someone here could devise a method if we knew exactly what results you
want from what you started with.

"Converting" would not seem to be the correct term in my estimation.

Hi
I am trying to load pictures from a web site to another and was told that
they had to be changed to csv ext. I did load two pictures but i don't know
how i did it.
You can see them at www.tutstreasurechest.net but it took me three hours of
loading putting the pictures in 602tab which is a spread sheet.but its a
struggle and not worth the effort.and at this rate it will take me years.

Save the picture file as a .jpg or .gif on your harddrive.

Then insert|picture|from file
and point at the picture you want to bring into excel.

This is one way to bring the pictures into excel--I don't have a guess on how to
do it from one web page to another.
