.csv Format, Hidden Columns, 2007

In 2003 Excel, I could hide columns in a worksheet, save the worksheet as a
.csv and the hidden columns/data did not convert to the .csv file (which is
what I want). In 2007 Excel, I have hidden columns and save the worksheet as
a .csv and the hidden columns/data get converted over, too. Is there
something I can do about this? I don't want the data from the hidden columns
converting to the .csv.

I tested with both... hidden columns get transferred to the CSV...

You can record a macro to copy the visible cells to a new worksheet and save
that worksheet to CSV.

I had to get someone to give me a copy of 2003 and found that yes, the hidden
columns are included.

I've noticed other posts that recommend a way to eliminate the hidden
columns when copying/pasting, but not when doing a Save As .csv. Here are
the recommendations for copy/paste (below). Anything similar for Save As?

Two stages

Edit, Goto, Special, Current Region

Edit, Goto, Special, Visible

Then copy and paste as normal.
