what problems if install outlook 2002 in office 2000

i want to install active sync3.7 on my work computer which uses office 2000.
i run it on office xp at home. the disc tells me to upgrad to outlook 2002.
what will happaen if i run outlook 2002 within office 2000. i am also on a
lan tho with my own pst file in outlook.

can i run activsync with outlook 2000

Installing only Outlook 2002 with Office 2000 installed will take away the
ability to use Word as your mail editor in Outlook or to do a mail merge
using Word.
