What prevents opening a form in design view?

I have one form in a database that cannot be opened, even in design view. No
other form has this problem. Please, what is the cause and the solution?

The symptoms indicate that the form has become corrupt.

It may be possible to use the undocumented SaveAsText/LoadFromText to get
Access to recreate this form. Details:

If that doesn't work, delete the form, compact the database, and import that
form from an older backup.

I haven't figured out wow to save the form as text. Will work on it.

I tried solution 2, and it didn't work. I'll try to get another copy of the
database from another computer.
