what is xmlns

i have this in my doc since getting an office update.
and the w3.org site is telling me:-

there is no attribute "XMLNS:O"

....n:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" xmlns:o="urn:schemas-
microsoft-com:office:office
 
Ignore it
The W3C are just guidelines, not rules, and don't many recognize IE or FP unique tags
- yours are coming from either using Word/Shape Art (an IE only thing) or the Category webbot
