What is the value of this program?

I installed this program, and have it running daily at
2:00 a.m. Every single day it finds between 6 and 15
things - but they are almost always the same things!! So
everyday I am removing the same spyware - this is getting
really old. What good is this program if there is no way
to completely BLOCK the spyware? Am I missing something
here?
Plus I keep getting these little green boxes saying that
Microsoft has "allowed" changes to toolbars, etc. Is
there some truth to the rumor that Microsoft is
really "helping" these adware folks out by making it so
easy to get on our computers? Otherwise, why wouldn't
this software really allow these things to be permanently
blocked if we so choose????

If you are removing the same stuff every day, it isn't getting cleaned.

Please submit a Tools, Suspected spyware report from within Microsoft
Antispyware, if possible. Don't worry about it if you get an error
message--there's a bug....

1) update both Microsoft Antispyware definitions and your antivirus.

2) Restart Windows in safe mode by pressing F8 function key before the first
Windows screen appears.

3) scan (full, deep scans with Microsoft Antispyware) with both Microsoft
Antispyware and your antivirus until both come through a full scan with
nothing found.

See whether that takes care of the repeat offenders--it may not--in which
case tell us what is still recurring.

Microsoft Antispyware allows its users to block software which is covered by
a set of policies currently defined here:

http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/isv/analysis.mspx

If you are seeing apps get green--flagged which trangress the guidelines in
this document--please feel free to bring this to Microsoft's
attention--perhaps here.

Microsoft Antispyware is not designed to allow the user to choose which
startup apps they wish to allow or not allow--it's designed to root out apps
that transgress specific guidelines.

If you don't want QuickTime or RealPlayer, for example, in the startup
items, they can be uninstalled, or reconfigured.
