hi, there.

I worked for a SME with 80-100 xp machine, just wondering what is the most
efficient way to deploy XP hotfix, we are not using SMS now, it is painful to
install manually.

Huang,
For your hotfix needs and all your other deployment woes, check out
Universal Imaging Utility (UIU) www.uiu4you.com. It creates one master
hardware-independent image easily deployable across your entire
environment.
Good Luck,

We don't want to let end-user to install hotfix by themselves, is there any
other way than WSUS?

The end-user shouldn't be installing anything at all. In fact - the
end-user shouldn't have the rights needed to install anything. ;-)

WSUS manages this for you - the machines check the WSUS server - where you
approve the updates that should go to the machine(s) and the machines take
those updates and install them. It's Automatic Updates - but with you in
control of what is offered to the machines.
