Hi, Office is a set of programs, they can be run on Windows. You may feel
free to purchase Office and install on your computer running Windows XP.
You don't lose anything, you gain the features of the Office Suite.

I'm afraid you are badly confused. Windows XP Professional is an
operating system, but Office 2003 Professional is not. Office is
a suite of application programs, not an operating system. It is
installed under whatever operating system you are running.

So if you are now running Windows XP Professional and install
Office 2003 Professional, Windows XP doesn't go away. Office just
runs as an application within it. All the existing features of
the operating system remain, including multiple monitor support
(ten monitors, not just two) and plug and play support.

Windows XP Pro is an operating system, Office 2003 Pro is an office
suite of applications. Very different functions, although both are
published by Microsoft. So, what is it you're really asking?
