hello guys,

what is the best wold time viewer freeware.
something that enables to pick some selected countries and shows the time.

Microsoft one works fine but it needs .net runtime that I don't want for a
98 one!

Try Sun Clock from mapmaker.com They have a freeware version that also
can be used as a screensaver. You can click any country and it will
show a small pop-up with the local time. Fonts can be changed so you
can show bigger clock. Uses NASA picture for earth background. Cities
can be added (enter LAT-LONG to be accurate)

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but here's a tiny
program that displays the earth and where the sun is shining. Doesn't
show and "times", just where the sun is shining.

Remember that quite a few countries have multiple time zones so you need
to be able to choose at the city/town level. The "What Time is it in?"
function of Calendar Magic provides coverage for around 8000 worldwide
locations. Available at:

Thanks for pointing to Calendar Magic. I downloaded Ver. 13.5 and am
trying it out. However, I am unable to find the funciton "What Time is
it in" that you mentioned above. Do I have the wrong version? Or am I
missing something? Or am I just naturally dense? :)

V13.5 is way out of date. Current version is V15.8 -- see either of the
Web links above to download.
