What is the best way?

I am trying to create an order entry program from scratch. I have built a
form and it does all the calculations. Now I am trying to allow for changes
but still keeping the original data. What is the best way to do this? I
have tried opening another form and a subform but with little success. How
can I keep the original and the changes? Thanks

So whenever an existing record is edited (or even deleted?), you want to
make a copy of the record in a history table?
