What is SMARTGART?

Hi all, just got my Radeon 9800 Pro!!! Very happy with the it but was
wondering what SMARTGART is? It's at off somehow (not at 2x, 4x nor 8x).
Also I cannot enable fastwrite.

I have a KT400 nForce2 chipset. The AGP it supports is up to 8x.

Try reinstalling the motherboard drivers. It looks like the video drivers
didn't find them.

Excellent! Just realised I uninstalled *all* my nForce drivers when I tried
to uninstall only my GeForce ones!

Very evil program. It runs test to decide the most stable
setting for your card, and the hardware it's installed into. It ten
automatically sets the cards options for you. Like AGP speed, and
fastwrites.
