What is "$NtUninstallKB821557$ and why is it in my windows file?

Within my windows folder are 30 files all beginning with
#Ntuninstall....! What are they for and can I get rid of
them without causing a problem?

These are the uninstall files for all of the hotfixes downloaded at the
Windows Update website. Yes, you can delete these, but you will no longer be
able to uninstall the hotfixes they are associated with.

You should also have an entry in Control Panel / Add or Remove Programs for
each of these files. If you delete the file and then click on the Remove
Button for that file in Add or Remove Programs, you will be given the choice
to remove that entry.

These files do not normally take up a lot of space, but a lot of folks don't
like the clutter.
