What is MCTP?

Does anyone know what MCTP is? I have a host on my
network using TCP Port 1100, which is MCTP, to
communicate w/ a website through Port 80. the website
address is 199.232.61.185. Why might this host use TCP
1100? Please advise, thank you.
 
outgoing port numbers are picked from any unused port on the client machine.
they have no significance. those port names are only really significant for
the listening port on the server side... with a few exceptions like for lots
of udp stuff.
