What is mciole16.exe ?

When I check the tasks currently running, I see this
mciole16.exe running. I did the search to see where it
is located. It is under C:\Windows\System32. I have
never seen this exe file running before.

Does anyone know what that exe file is or a virus? How I
can clean it up if I should?

This can be a virus. Use Lavasoft Ad-aware to check and eventually remove
it.

I have run Norton and it didn't find anything. Can I
just delete the file?

I have used Norton to scan the whole my computer but
there is no virus reported.

mciole16.dll is an XP file. mciole16.exe is not.

Did you update Norton before scanning??

Find mciole16.exe | Right click it | Properties |
Especially the Version tab |

Any usefull info there?
