What is hibernate?
When I clicked hibernate, it switch off, then switch on back again. What I
understand is that it saves all the memory contents into harddisk, then pull
back all when it wakes up, bring everything back to normal. Let me know if I
am correct.

I believe it maintains a trickle current to memory in order to preserve it
while the other components shut down.

any idea why is that?

Actually.....

HIBERNATION:
=================
Hibernation is a state in which your computer shuts down to save power but
first saves everything in memory on your hard disk.
When you restart the computer, your desktop is restored exactly as you left
it.

STANDBY:
=================
You can put your computer on standby, which turns off the monitor and hard
disks to reduce battery power consumption.
When you bring the computer out of standby, your desktop appears exactly as
you left it.
You might want to save your work before putting your computer on standby.
While on standby, information in computer memory is not saved on your hard
disk.
If there is an interruption in power, information in memory is lost.

Do you have an antivirus program running? If so, completely disable it and
see if the same if thing happens.
...the scanning of certain AV programs can cause the behaviour you are
mentioning, you may want to consult the vendor of you find this to be the
case
