What is going on?!

Yesterday my computer starting acting freaky! When I click on a link most of
the time, it doens't work properly - I'll click on the link, I see the
page/link name down in the bottom left corner, but it's not putting it in the
address line of IE. I'm stuck with the little hand on my screen until it
times out and returns to an arrow. Then it will say done in the bottom left
corner, but it's NOT done. I have run McAfee Virus Scan, Spy Sweeper & even
tried turning off my Super Ad Blocker...but still it won't do right. Can
anyone help?
