What is freeware?

IMHO, any software that isn't crippled and doesn't require you to
compensate the author/distributor in kind ($$$), ever, works for me. A
quick postcard, an E-mail, even "lite" versions will get the job done. If
it works for you, and doesn't involve money (cash or credit) for as long as
you own and/or use the product, then it is certainly FREE.

Time limited demos or Shareware with use limits would NOT qualify ...

Nagware, Donationware (requests only), Registration with or without an
E-mail address, etc. are also Ok by me. Of course, the BEST freeware is
completely free with NO strings attached, but there are others. :)))

For me, "freeware" means any app that doesn't involve sending anything
at all to the author and that doesn't cripple or nag the user in any way.
