For viewing logfiles you often don't use an average text viewer but a
tail program. Look here:

http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~dbareis/freew32.htm

If you want a GUI maybe this one fits better (but is a lot larger!):

http://www.baremetalsoft.com/baretail/index.php

If you are only up to the smallest text viewer for big files and don't
care for the tail feature you should have a look for TinyView (TV) for
DOS. It's only 958 Bytes. (Pure assembler.)

Actually I would like to find the small viewer to deal with static but big
logfiles.
Thank you
Yogev F.

Don't know if this one will do the job?

http://www.geocities.com/izenkov/product-te.htm

On page http://www.geocities.com/izenkov/Zip/te-readme-1.4.6.txt it
says "
+------------------------------------+------------+------------+
| Additional features | Notepad XP | TE 1.4 |
+------------------------------------+------------+------------+
| Unlimited Text Size (1) | * | * |"

It als says on that page:

BENCHMARKS

Resource consumption test results:

+------------------------------------+------------+------------+
| Exe/memory footprint | Notepad XP | TE 1.4 |
+------------------------------------+------------+------------+
| Exe footprint (bytes) | 66,048 | 30,208 |
| Exe footprint compressed (bytes) | 47,616 | 13,824 |
+------------------------------------+------------+------------+
| Memory | New document (KB) | 3,592 | 1,420 |
| Memory | 1 KB document (KB) | 4,244 | 1,456 |
| Memory | 10 KB document (KB) | 4,276 | 1,472 |
| Memory | 100 KB document (KB) | 4,452 | 1,500 |
| Memory | 1000 KB document (KB) | 6,336 | 1,512 |
| Memory | 10000 KB document (KB) | 25,204 | 1,536 |

Other wise do a search on google like:

"notepad replacement" tiny unlimited memory

Or think of some words and/or phrases yourself.

Good luck!

This is very nice, thanks for posting this. It's only 135K, no
install, displays huge files instantly, and has highlighting
capabilities. Very nice.

Terry

You're welcome. ;-)
