what is cidaemon

cidaemon is an .exe program on my computer. i cant seem
to delete it and i dont know why, all it seems to do is
slow down my computer and thats all it does. if i hit
ctrl + alt + delete and i end the process it only speeds
my comp up. so i cant get rid of it it only slows my comp
down the what the heck is it for???

Process File: cidaemon or cidaemon.exe
Process Name: Microsoft Indexing Service
Description: The Indexing Service runs in the background and catalogues
files so that you can search for files containing a specific text string

Go to Control Panel|FIND FAST. Delete the files and FILE|STOP INDEXING
This may or may not be the same thing, but if it's running it can hamper
performance.

You can shut off indexing service through admin tools,
