What is the best CSharp IDE:

- MS Visual CSharp Express (!) Edition
- SharpDevelop
- Borland C'Builder

for either beginners resp. for advanced (but not huge multi person) projects?

As far I know the only MS VS supports .NET Framework 2.0 at this time
but SharpDevelop is on this way. Borland Studio 2006 supports only 1.1
and isn't free. VS Express is freeware just for limited time (one year
since now?).
Personally I like VS IDE more them all.

Sven,

I left the Borland camp a few years ago because the developer community
surrounding Microsoft's development products is MUCH larger than the one
surrounding Borland's products. Thus, if I were to recommend one, I would
recommend the Microsoft product because there will be more jobs available
that use their product. As to who makes the better product, its a moot
question as far as I'm concerned. You follow the technology leader and go
where the jobs are or you will find yourself unemployed.

My 2 cents...

Dave
