what is ATi's Florida office for?

Why does ATi have an office in Florida?


In fact, I even understand that they have a development group down there....

where did that come from, was it from something ATi acquired like ArtX?

Can't really pretend to know what they do there (could be Sales, Customer
Service, etc.), but it is common, in my understanding, for foreign
companies to have locations in the States because it makes the importing
process easier.

the xbox deal...hehehehe, if you lived and worked in the 'great white
north' wouldn't you have a place in florida?

Definitely! There is a Caribbean island that wants to become a province of
Canada and I am a big supporter of the idea. Maybe ATI could move their hq
out of Toronto and to the Caribbean.
