What is APPS folder?

P

In my Documents and Settings\<my name> folder, between the Application
Data and Temp folders there is an Apps folder which has 4 sub levels,
ending with 'manifests'. The 'manifests' folder is empty.

Anyone know the purpose of Apps? Can I delete it?

Thanls

"Apps" folder is not a standard XP folder. It seem that a software
that is / was installed on this PC and the folder is sued by it.

The folder's created when you install Microsoft's .NET Framework 2.0. I'd advise
leaving the folder alone. At some point, an application you install that uses
..NET Framework 2.0 may need that folder.

Good luck

Are you looking in the right location, C:\Documents and
Settings\'youraccount'\Local Settings\Apps. It's possible that it was installed
on my computers by a program the used .NET Framework.

Sorry! The original post had given the incomplete folder name
(missing Local Settings.)
