REFERENCE
 
Did you look at Help? See the "The difference between relative and
absolute references" subtopic in the "About cell and range references"
topic.
 
After following Don's & JE's advice take a look at the F4 key when entering
references.

Hi,

Check this "Switch between relative, absolute, and mixed references" in the
on-line help. It will give a lot of clarity in understanding and using this
treminology.
