What is a typical salary for a mobile developer?

Maybe not so off topic since this does concern the CF.



What is a typical salary for a mobile developer/architect with the following
exp.

4 years mobile development C#, VB .net, C++, eVB (18 years in software
development)

Full lifecycle development of several Pocket PC and Smartphone applications
(winforms)

Custom controls development

SQL CE and Sybase Anywhere database replication along with custom DB
replication.

Webservices for mobile devices



Is $50 an hour (W2) on the low side?

$50/hr is $100k per year. If you're paying your own benefits and live in an
area with a high cost of living, it's not great. If you get benefits and
you're living in the middle of nowhere, it's a damned good salary.

Pay also depends on what the employer can afford, the employer's size, what
other people working at the same place make, your negotiating skills, and a
lot of other factors.

Really the only question should be are you willing to do the work for what
they're paying?
