What is a distribution list in outlook?

Can any one help me what is a distribution list in outlook

A preset collection of Outlook contact addresses combined into one master address for simple sending. Have you even tried F1 for a definition?

What version of Outlook are you using? Most version have a File->New->Distribution List offering.
