/_vti_bin/vit_aut/author.exe listed in my website stats for 234 hits and 427
kb. Top 30 of 112 total URLs. Is this just an entry because I published
with Front Page extensions or is this someone trying to access my webiste?
 
Yes, this is the file that let's you publish to the server. Think of it as
the gateway that you go through when publishing.
