What is this and how do I fix it.

=0987y5rs or =0987y5re or 0987y5r3s
As I am typing my email in Outlook 2007 these numbers just pop up and I
can't do anything else but just shut the email down and turn off the
computer. When I restart it it may or may not work O.K. A message also pops
up saying Outlook has detected that you are holding down the control key. Do
you want to start Outlook in the safe mode.
How do I fix this once and for all??

What do you mean by "pops up", specifically?

If you mean is "typed as text" within the app, and ff this is a desktop
then try another keyboard. Note that most of the characters are in the
upper rows. Perhaps something has gone wonky with the kb.

Turn on numbers lock. There should be an indicator on the KB to show its on.

It is a Toshiba Satellite Laptop. It could be the keyboard. I re-installed
windows and it hasn't done it in a week.
