XP Home can access domain resources, but it cannot be joined to the domain.
Meaning you can't use domain credentials to log on to XP Home. Drives can
be manually mapped, supplying domain credentials if necessary. Ex:

net use * \\myserver\myshare password /user:domain\userid

You can *connect* it wherever you like - but you cannot join XP Home to a
domain.

Right.

sow what will be working?

The user will log in locally, and that's about it. Read on....

No.

not?

Sure, if you map them appropriately.

You can connect to resources on a domain evenwhen you don't belong to it, if
you pass the credentials along.

net use x: \\server\share /user:DOMAIN\username <enter>

....is one example. It doesn't matter that it's XP Home, or even Win2k/XP Pro
that doesn't belong to this particular domain.

However, group policy, etc., won't work - and you really want to avoid using
XP Home on a domain at all. There's a reason it's called Home!
