What happens when I try and recall a message and not replace it?

What happens if I try and recall a message sent to an incorrect distribution
list. Will there be anything in the recipitents' inboxes after both the
original mail and the recall mail have been received?
 
Quite likely, yes. You'll have to decide whether that's more embarrassing
than the original message.
