Nothing. They remain onHotmail's servers.

Usually not. If you have a Hotmail Premium account and Outlook Live you can
use your Hotmail account as the default delivery location and access Hotmail
as though its folders were local to your PC. WIth a Hotmail Plus account,
you can reference your Hotmail folders as a second folder set within
Outlook. If you have one of the free Hotmail accounts, chances are you
won't be able to access your Hotmail account with Outlook.
