What happened to Swen

Today I got only 2 Swen>A in my mail, down from 30/day before the last
couple of days when it dropped to 6/day. Is the epidemic over?

Thanks
Mike

No. It's the weekend.

No. It's the weekend.

I'm inundated with cleaned copies of the Swen email - it seems that ISPs
have finally cottoned on to the new fangled idea of a virus scanner :) What
baffles me is that instead of dropping virus laden emails they clean them
and allow them on their way. No point to it and very irritating.

Perhaps they want to pass the buck to someone else to tell the virus sender
he/she is infected.

You are doing well. My ISP - Telstra - simply suggested I move up to a more
expensive plan to cover the extra downloads. These pricks actually see a
profit opportunity, and have consequently done nothing to filter it out.

Mine have dropped from a high of 400 overnight. Now they fluctuate,
sometimes as little as one or two then up to more but less than 20. I
haven't had good correlation between weekdays and weekends.

Weekend has gone and I am still getting far fewer Swen. Today I had 9
Swen.A & 1 KLEZ.H of 428, nearly double my usual number of emails/day.

I haven't had any "Microsoft Updates' or "undeliverable mail" lately
but have started getting groups of e-mails with different source data,
all of the sort (somewhere)@(somewhere else). A lot have to do with
Jenna Jameson. Others with drug subject. None have attachments, only
links. Some have not even bothered to have a message. Others have lots
of (random characters). The Properties headers are all similar to
Swen, or whatever, headers. Certainly not normal commercial spam.

Don't get all sentimental about it, or we'll get anorak-wearing "Swen
Preservation Societies", like we do with steam trains.
