Hi guys!

I have a question... I want to update to Windows XP Pro I got windows XP
Home.

So I first try to uninstall my antivirus (PC-Cillin) but I got an error when
I try do it...so after restart I try again and the OS warn me that PC-cillin
is not a program installed, however I can see the program running on system
tray.

Ok, even when the problem above unsolved, do you recommend update to
Windows XP Pro?, or it's better try to solve the antivirus problem first ??

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tony,

Read SteveL's response, he is correct just disable your pc-
cillin service and upgrade, then re-install your anti-
virus.

good luck

Hi,
earlier in my post I wrote 'yes'this in context to your
preference,[Re:- to your post where you wrote "or it's better try to
solve the antivirus problem first??"i.e.to solve the antivirus issue
first then try upgrading.I have never said to uninstall that
antivirus.Simply disable the autoprotect of that antivirus software and
proceed.
Have I ever said -"So If I try to update I'll get an error because I
didn't uninstall my antivirus??????"
Please don't jump to such conclusion which I have never mentioned about
uninstallation.
