What format does music have to be in?

I am very new to movie maker and don't understand what kind of music can be
imported. Is it only certain file types?

Can you use music from just an everyday CD? It is format .cda and it won't

If you rip the CD using Windows Media Player
you will have .wma files that are compatible with
MovieMaker.

Hi there,

MP3 files are often a problem with Movie Maker...convert them to WAV or
if you must WMA...its NEVER a good idea to convert between two compressed
formats (MP3 and WMA)

every song that i down load is copy wright and will not import what am i
doing wrong
