What does "<>" mean in an excel equation?

Its for a class and it reads:

W9+12*S2/5<>2*L8

I know all the values, but the end result is: 270<>200 and what does that
mean?

"<>" means "not equal to".


The formula equates to 'True' using your end result of :
270<>200

Now what?
