What do the Canon IP4000 CLEANING cartrages contain?

B

Branwynn Slayne

THERE ARE NO CLEANING CARTS

Liar Liar pants on fire.
AND THE CANON IP4000 DOES NOT NEED TO BE CLEANED IF YOU USE THE INK YOU
ARE SUPPOSED TO USE.

Liar Liar pants on fire. Read the Canon manual, Dipstick.
I NEVER HAD MINE GO THRU A CLEANING CYCLE.

DOUBLE LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE.
DOUBLE LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE.

Biggest lie of all coming coming the troll who prints 1 page per year. He
who prints rarely needs cleaning cycles no matter what ink used. It's
all in the cherished Canon manual. There are two levels of cleaning with
each and every printer made. Why are there two levels of cleaning?

Because Canon inks will clog.
Because Canon inks will clog.
Because Canon inks will clog.
Because Canon inks will clog.
Because Canon inks will clog.

It's all in the manual. Read the manual, Dipstick.

WHY DO YOU POST SUCH STUPID REMARKS. NOW IF I DID (I DO NOT) PRINT ONE
PAGE A YEAR THEN I MAY NEED A CLEANING CYCLE.

I have Measekite killfiled, so I only see what he says when people respond
to his trolling.

Firstly, All I use on the main IP4000 is Canon OEM ink and the kids IP4000
has Compatible (Due to the amount of printing the little tinkers do)
My OEM Canon Ink BK6 has very fine banding on nozel test. (Not showing up in
photos though)

The the other IP4000 using compatibles, is and has ALWAYS been perfect.

I have done all the types of head clean to no avail, and am now fed up with
my Canon Guzzling away my OEM INK.

So back to the origanal question... What Fluids are in the Cleaning Carts?

Measekite Talks Bollocks. So far for me at least Canon Ink is SHIT compared
the the CHEAPEST PRO-JET I have been using £0.59 per cart. Thats well under
one tenth the cost.

All I want to do is clean the heads, as I cant be arsed to Contact Canon
suport, and be put through the YOU SEND US THIS, AND WE SEND YOU THAT, Crap.

Thanks

THERE ARE NONE. NO CANON PRODUCT SINCE THEY ARE NOT NEEDED. MY CANON
IP4000 USING ONLY OEM INK NEVER HAS NEEDED ANY HEAD CLEANING

I don't know for sure but I believe they may be mainly distilled water with a
little ammonia and/or isopropyl alcohol (perhaps 5% of each). I have used this
solution to recover a few Canon printheads in an ultrasonic cleaner. It does
not always work however, these printheads can burn out in which case they are
not recoverable.

13 little illegal meskins.

They all have tiny little squeegies and minature buckets of plain old
water.
Every time you stop printing, they come swarming out of the cleaning cart,
taping on your cassette tray to get your attention, and yelling "Hey Senor!
You wanna good wash? Berry berry cheep, si senor, we do good job, hokey
senor? Only 1 dollah!".

Thanks Tony

Will give that a try. At least the heads are removable.

I have now given it at least THREE deep cleans and FIVE normal cleans and am
still getting very fine regular lines in the nozzle test print.

Does not seem to be affecting the print outs, but I don't want them to get
any worse.

Thanks Again

I have had the same problem. After trying the deep cleaning my banding
went away but returned a few days later.

The nozzle test pattern looked just fine but , on an otherwise good
print, I would get a magenta line about one inch from the start of
printing. It didn't seem to matter what I did. . . that magenta band
appeared again and again.

I finally uninstalled the printer driver and downloaded the latest
driver from canon and installed that. Saw some improvement but the
magenta stripe returned the next day. RATS!

Finally, after having tried EVERYTHING ELSE, I ran a print-head
alignment. Problem solved!

Moral: Don't forget the little stuff! <G>
