What do i need to let my cd-rom read softwares?

My cd-rom is fine but when I install any softwares and I mean any it goes
through the motion and does not display what is on the software.

Sorry, wrong newsgroup. This one is concerned with Microsoft Access, a
database product. I suggest you try a general Windows newsgroup.
