What colour do I use to print onto black card?

I am trying to print names for place cards onto black card but I cant get any
colour to show up, any ideas?
 
The only way you are likely to do this successfully is to print the black
background on white card. There simply isn't enough ink going on the paper
for the lightest colours to show the result. Yellow is perhaps your best
bet. Alternatively try a professional print shop.

If you are very lucky, you may have an inkjet printer that can use silver
ink -

I think it may be possible to get white ink for some inkjets as well.
