Im using the 4.8 betas from guru3d and they give an extra
2 frames per sec in Doom 3 over the 4.4s which I previously used which Im
happy about. I didnt bother with the 4.5-4.7s because I was playing Thief 3
and they screwed up the lighting/shadows - it aint about finding the fastest
driver - for me its all about finding a driver that plays all your current
games without a glitch or lockup.
I've tried them all and to me the 3.7's are the fastest by far and also play
well in everything. But I just tried the 4.9 betas and they were next
closest being only a frame or 2 per second off in most games. I don't have
Doom 3 yet.
