Standard Rule: never run two anti-virus applications at the same
time. If you feel Nav 2005 isn't doing the job, dump it (I hear it is
a resource hog) and get the free Avast.

You cannot run 2 resident antivirus software programs simultaneously.
They will always conflict on detection of a virus. If you are paranoid
and want extra protection look for a solution such as Kaspersky
Antivirus with extended and redundant databases.

Please could you explain what extended and redundant databases are?
TIA
