Western Digital My Book USB external HD causes blue screen everytime I plug it into my USB port(s)

It worked fine for a few months then it started blue screening and
restaring my computer. If I leave it plugged in Windows just
restarts, blue screens and restarts, blue screens, never ending loop.
Any ideas?

I'm having almost the same problem. My western digital my book is
causing a windows explorer error whenever I click on the G: and it
tries to load. Sometimes it goes to a blue screen and other times
it tells me i have a windows explorer error along with a doctor
watson error. Can anyone help me? pretty please?

A "me too" answer is usually a reply to another posting.

You seem to have started a whole new posting or attached to one that is so
old as not to be listed in my newsreader *and* changed the subject line so
there is no connection to the older posting.

Have you contacted Western Digital?
Is it connected via USB, firewire or network?
