WeS installation problem (database product patch error)

Hello everybody!

Today I received the final version of the WeS Toolkit.

I have problems with the installation process. After I want to install the
Toolkit I receive the following error: "Failed to apply Windows Embedded
Standard database product patch error hr(0x80070643)". Can anyone help me and
give me a hint how I can fix this problem?

Some remarks:
- I have had installed XPe with SQL Server 2005 and an earlier version.
- I use Windows XP.
- At first I had the same error which was described some threads before (DB
cannot be used => Within the setup I coud not select to a database server).
Then I removed completely all SQL server software and installed SQL Server
2005. After this procedure the described product patch error came for the
first time.
- With SQL Server 2008 I have the same error

Thanks for your article. With your information I could solve the problem.

I solved the problem with following steps:
1) I installed "SQL Server 2005 Express Edition with Advanced Services SP2"
2) I changed the instance name MSSQLEXPRESS to MSSQLSERVER

I think the step no 2 solved the issue.
