WEP issues....

so, it would appear that all of a sudden my version of XP
is having issues maintaining a connection with the WAP
that i've had for some time.

I have replaced the WAP with a new apple airport. the
airport seems to be working fine, yet, however, I have
discovered that now that i am using WEP encryption, XP
seems to want to drop the signal about every 2-3 minutes.

is there some sort of known issue with this? is there a
fix?

please respond to me directly- just take out the "no_spam"
from my email address above.

Check the Authentication options in your wireless network adapter's settings
and make sure that you don't have 802.1x authentication enabled. You'll
find this by right-clicking your wireless adapter in the Network Connections
box, selecting Properties, then the Authentication tab.
