Hi
How do I get rid of the Welcome Window on startup?
Does Kelley's Korners have a solution?
I don't want to mess with the registry until I learn more about it.

Do you mean bypass it and log on to a specific user automatically? Or use the older style Win2K logon?

For the former, click Start, Run and enter CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 Uncheck Users must enter a username.......... Click Apply. In the next Dialog, enter the username and password, that you want logged on automatically.

If you want to use the Windows 2000 style logon, go to Control Panel, User Accounts, Change the way users log on and log off. Uncheck Use the Welcome Screen.

If you want to try an easy way go to control panel->user accounts. You can find an option to turn off the welcome screen from there.
